Elemental analysis - A useful supplement to XRF

Modern combustion analysis primarily involves 'light' elements (C, H, N, O and S), which can only be quantitatively determined to a limited extent using XRF. The presentation will show typical applications of elemental analyzers with selected examples. XRF measuring principle and standards

A brief overview of the operation and possibilities of XRF analysis is given. How powder samples and press tablets are analyzed. With some practical examples we show problems and possible solutions for a better sample preparation and analysis. A large number of German and international standards describe XRF as an analytical method. This lecture is intended to give an overview of some standards and to provide information on what significance they have for the practical use of the analytical method.
